Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 7 July 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern all competitions operated by Legion Comps Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales under company number 17307226, with registered office at Unit A 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE, United Kingdom ("Legion Comps", "we", "us"), through this website. By entering a competition or creating an account, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, do not enter or create an account.
Legal Basis
Every competition we run includes a genuinely free entry route by post, as set out in clause 3. The free entry route is stated on each competition page, at checkout, and in our advertising. Because participation is available free of charge, our competitions do not constitute a lottery within the meaning of the Gambling Act 2005 (see Schedule 2 to that Act) and may be operated lawfully in Great Britain without a licence. The optional question that may appear on a competition page is provided for engagement purposes only and is not the legal basis on which any competition is run.
1. Eligibility
- 1.1Competitions are open to individuals aged 18 years or over who are resident in Great Britain (England, Scotland or Wales) at the time of entry. Competitions are not open to residents of Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or any other jurisdiction.
- 1.2 Employees, officers, directors and contractors of Legion Comps, and their immediate family members (spouse or partner, parent, child, sibling), are not eligible to enter any competition.
- 1.3 By entering, you confirm that you meet all eligibility requirements. We may verify eligibility and will disqualify any entrant who does not meet these criteria, including voiding any prize won by an ineligible entrant.
- 1.4 We may request proof of identity, age and residency from any entrant or winner. Where a winner fails to provide reasonable proof within 14 days of our request, we may withhold the prize and conduct a re-draw in accordance with clause 6.
2. Competition Entry
- 2.1Each valid entry requires either the purchase of one or more tickets online or a qualifying free postal entry as set out in clause 3. All valid entries are entered into the same draw pool on identical terms.
- 2.2A fun question may be shown on the competition page. Answering it is entirely optional and has no effect on your entry: all valid entries are included in the draw regardless of whether the question is answered, or answered correctly. Where a question is answered, each ticket permits one answer attempt, recorded for analytics purposes only.
- 2.3Each competition specifies a maximum number of entries per person (the "Entry Limit"). The Entry Limit applies across all entry methods combined, whether entries are obtained by online purchase, free postal entry, or both.
- 2.4 All entries are final once submitted and confirmed. Entries cannot be transferred to another person or to another competition.
3. Free Postal Entry
- 3.1No purchase is necessary. You may enter any competition free of charge by sending a handwritten letter or postcard by first- or second-class post to: Legion Comps Ltd, Unit A 82 James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE, United Kingdom. Each free entry must include: (a) your full name; (b) your full postal address in Great Britain; (c) your date of birth; (d) an email address or telephone number on which we can contact you; and (e) the name of the competition you wish to enter. By submitting a free postal entry you agree to these Terms.
- 3.2 Each separately posted letter or postcard counts as one free entry. You may submit multiple free entries to a competition, up to the Entry Limit for that competition (counted across all entry methods combined, in accordance with clause 2.3). Multiple entries enclosed in a single envelope will be counted as one entry only.
- 3.3Where the online ticket price for a competition is lower than the cost of a second-class stamp at the time the competition opens, each valid free postal entry will be credited with the number of entries whose combined ticket value is equal to or greater than the cost of that stamp, so that entering by post is never worse value than entering online. The number of entries per letter for such competitions is stated on the competition page.
- 3.4Free postal entries have an identical chance of winning per entry to purchased tickets. They are placed in the same draw pool, are eligible for instant win prizes on the same basis as purchased tickets, and no question of any kind is required.
- 3.5A competition closes at the earlier of (a) the advertised closing date and (b) the point at which the maximum number of entries has been reached ("Closure"). Free postal entries must be received before Closure. If a competition reaches its maximum entries before your postal entry is received, your entry will not be included in that draw and we are unable to offer compensation. Please allow sufficient time for postal delivery, particularly for competitions that are close to selling out.
- 3.6All free postal entries received before Closure are included in the draw pool before the draw runs, even where our staff have not yet completed a manual review. Entries may be reviewed after inclusion; any entry found on review to be invalid or ineligible will be removed from the draw pool and any instant win prize linked to it will be void. Voided prizes are not reallocated to another entrant.
- 3.7 A free postal entry will not be rejected for a minor error or omission where the entrant is identifiable and their eligibility can be verified from the information provided. Entries that are mechanically reproduced, photocopied or bulk-generated are not valid. Entries in excess of the Entry Limit will be disqualified.
- 3.8 We accept no liability for postal entries lost, delayed or damaged in the post. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt.
- 3.9 We retain each free postal entry (or a scanned copy) for at least six months after the relevant draw for audit and verification purposes, after which it is securely destroyed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
4. Instant Win Prizes
- 4.1 Where a competition includes instant win prizes, the winning entry positions are pre-determined by a cryptographically secure random allocation at competition setup. The allocation is published as a commitment hash before any tickets are sold and is verifiable on our draw verification page.
- 4.2 We will notify the holder of a winning instant win entry by email within 24 hours of the winning position being allocated to their entry. This applies equally to postal entrants, using the contact details provided with their entry.
- 4.3Instant win prizes must be claimed within 30 days of our notification under clause 4.2. We will send at least one reminder during that period. Prizes not claimed within 30 days of notification are forfeited without compensation.
- 4.4An instant win prize may be voided only where the associated entry is invalidated on review under clauses 3.6 or 9. Voided prizes are not reallocated to another entrant.
- 4.5 Winning an instant win prize does not affect the eligibility of the holder's other valid entries for the main draw.
5. The Main Draw
- 5.1 The main draw takes place automatically upon Closure (as defined in clause 3.5).
- 5.2 A single winning entry is selected at random from all valid entries in the draw pool using a provably fair, cryptographically verifiable process based on a published commitment hash. The selection is audited and logged, and each draw can be independently verified on our draw verification page.
- 5.3 If a competition reaches its advertised closing date without selling all available entries, the draw will still take place on that date with all valid entries received. Closing dates are never extended and draws are never rolled over.
- 5.4 We may cancel a competition before its draw, in which case all ticket purchases for that competition will be refunded in full in accordance with clause 8.3. Cancelled competitions will be announced on the website and by email to all ticket holders.
6. Prize Claim & Delivery
- 6.1 The main draw winner will be notified by email to their registered address within 24 hours of the draw and asked to confirm their claim and provide a valid delivery address in Great Britain within 7 days.
- 6.2 If the winner does not respond within 7 days, we will make reasonable further attempts to contact them using the details provided, including by telephone where a number has been given. If the winner has not responded within 28 days of the first notification despite those attempts, we may conduct a re-draw from the remaining valid entries, and the original winner forfeits all rights to the prize.
- 6.3 Prizes are dispatched by tracked delivery to the winner's confirmed address within 28 days of claim confirmation, unless a longer period is agreed with the winner or is stated on the competition page.
- 6.4 If a prize is lost or damaged in transit, we will pursue a claim with the courier and will provide the winner with a replacement prize, or a substitute of equal or greater value, at no cost to the winner. Our responsibility to award the prize is not discharged until the prize (or agreed substitute) has been delivered.
- 6.5 Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative unless a cash alternative is expressly stated on the competition page.
- 6.6 We may substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
7. Winner Publicity
- 7.1 The CAP Code requires promoters to either publish or make available information indicating that a valid award took place: ordinarily the surname and county of major prize winners and, where applicable, their winning entry.
- 7.2 We will publish the surname and county of each major prize winner on our winners page, and will make that information available to anyone who requests it in writing within one month of the competition's closing date.
- 7.3If you object to your surname and county being published or made available, contact us at info@legioncomps.co.uk before or promptly after winning. Where you object we will withhold or limit both publication on our winners page and disclosure in response to written requests under clause 7.2, but we must still provide your details to the Advertising Standards Authority on request as evidence that the prize was properly awarded.
- 7.4Any publicity beyond clause 7.2 — including photographs, video or promotional appearances — is entirely voluntary and requires your prior consent. Participation in publicity is never a condition of receiving a prize.
- 7.5 For transparency, an entry list showing ticket numbers and entrants' display names is published on each competition page before the draw.
8. Cancellation Rights & Refunds
- 8.1 When you purchase a ticket, you expressly request that we perform the service immediately by allocating your entry to the draw pool, and you acknowledge that once your entry has been allocated the service has been fully performed and you will lose your statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Your request and acknowledgement are recorded at checkout.
- 8.2Subject to clause 8.1 and to your statutory rights, ticket purchases are non-refundable once payment has been confirmed and your entry has been allocated to the draw pool.
- 8.3 If we cancel a competition before the draw, all ticket purchasers will receive a full refund to their original payment method within 10 working days. Free postal entrants have paid nothing and are therefore not entitled to monetary compensation on cancellation.
- 8.4If a technical error results in a duplicate charge to your payment method, contact us at info@legioncomps.co.uk and we will refund the duplicate amount within 5 working days of confirming the error. If a system error on our part prevents a purchased ticket from being entered into the draw, we will refund that ticket in full.
- 8.5 Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
9. Conduct & Fraud Prevention
- 9.1 The following are prohibited: (a) using automated systems, bots or scripts to enter or interact with competitions; (b) entering under a false identity or using another person's account or payment details without authority; (c) exceeding the Entry Limit by any means, including the use of multiple accounts; (d) fraudulent chargebacks or payment fraud; and (e) any other attempt to manipulate, exploit or circumvent competition processes.
- 9.2 Where we have reasonable grounds to believe an entrant has breached clause 9.1 or these Terms, we may disqualify the relevant entries or account and void any associated prize. We will give written notice of the disqualification and the grounds for it, and the entrant may respond through the complaints procedure in clause 14. Serious matters may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
10. Responsible Play
- 10.1We want entering our competitions to stay fun. Tools to set spending limits, take a break, or self-exclude from all competitions are available in your account settings or by contacting us at info@legioncomps.co.uk.
- 10.2If you are concerned about your spending on prize competitions, free and confidential support is available from GamCare (0808 8020 133) and from Citizens Advice.
- 10.3 We operate in accordance with the Voluntary Code of Practice for prize competition and free draw operators.
11. Intellectual Property
- 11.1 All website content, design, and branding is the property of Legion Comps or its licensors.
- 11.2Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, and all associated names, images, and trademarks are the property of Games Workshop Ltd. Legion Comps is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Games Workshop Ltd.
12. Privacy & Data Protection
- 12.1We process personal data provided with entries — including name, address, date of birth and contact details — to administer competitions, verify age and eligibility, notify winners and meet our legal obligations, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- 12.2 Winner publicity is handled in accordance with clause 7. We will not use your personal data for marketing without a lawful basis as set out in the Privacy Policy.
13. Limitation of Liability
- 13.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
- 13.2 Subject to clause 13.1, our total liability to a winner in connection with a competition shall not exceed the total value of the prize won (including our obligations under clauses 6.4 and 6.6, which are not excluded or limited by this clause).
- 13.3 Subject to clause 13.1, our total liability to any other entrant in connection with our competitions shall not exceed the total amount paid by that entrant to enter competitions in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
- 13.4 We are not responsible for internet connectivity failures, device faults or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control that prevent you from entering a competition, save that clause 8.4 applies where a system error on our part prevents a purchased ticket from entering the draw.
14. Complaints & Disputes
- 14.1If you have a complaint about any competition, contact us in the first instance at info@legioncomps.co.uk with the subject line "Complaint — [Competition Title]", including your account email, ticket or entry number(s), and a clear description of your concern.
- 14.2We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to provide a full written response within 14 working days of receipt.
- 14.3If your complaint relates to our advertising or promotional material and you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer it to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) at www.asa.org.uk.
- 14.4If we cannot resolve your complaint between us, you may refer it to an independent certified Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider; we will identify the scheme in our final response. Free, independent consumer advice is also available from Citizens Advice at www.citizensadvice.org.uk. This clause does not affect your statutory rights or your right to bring court proceedings.
15. General
- 15.1 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Legion Comps in relation to competition entry and supersede all prior agreements, save that nothing in this clause excludes or limits liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
- 15.2 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
- 15.3 We may amend these Terms from time to time. Amended Terms apply only to competitions that open after the amended Terms are posted; they never apply retrospectively to entries already made. We will give notice of material changes on the website and by email to account holders.
- 15.4 A failure or delay by us in enforcing any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that provision.
- 15.5 These Terms do not confer any rights on any third party under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
- 16.1These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by the law of England and Wales.
- 16.2 The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim, save that if you are a consumer resident in Scotland you may also bring proceedings in, and rely on the protection of the mandatory rules of, Scotland.
